Lomi lomi is a healing massage technique used by Hawaiian surgeons and passed down from generation to generation. This massage cannot be compared to any other type of massage, because it helps on an energetic level to remove blockages and to allow the energy in the body to flow in a new direction. This creates a greater sense of balance, harmony and wholeness. Two things are central during a lomi lomi massage; Love and Harmony, which forms an important basis for this ancient healing teaching. It is therefore not for nothing that this massage technique is also called “The loving touch” or “loving hands”, because of the unconditional love with which we work. This is expressed from heart to heart, but is especially felt when you receive this massage.

When you receive a lomi lomi, the massage will begin and end with an intention and a pule (prayer) to bring about the best possible healing. Then the body is massaged with long and smooth movements. The hands and forearms are used for this, which move over the body with long strokes. This happens over the full length of the body. This imitates the rhythm and cadence of the waves coast from the ocean of Hawaii and the touch can be experienced as if waves are moving over your body. With this massage, the whole of nature and thus the life and beauty of life can be experienced all over the body. The touch and loving attention also promotes blood circulation and metabolism, and treats the muscles and tissues. At the same time, the loving touch resonates on a soul level. Because this healing massage opens all energy channels (meridians), the life energy flows in the body.
